Music lovers from Orem, Utah County, and surrounding communities are openly invited to an exciting new live-music event! Whether you're a fan of rock and roll, love discovering new bands, or simply enjoy a great night of live entertainment, you're invited!
Come support Utah's next generation of musicians as six emerging local bands take the stage to compete for cash prizes, recognition, and bragging rights!
Admission is FREE, so bring your friends and family and get ready for an unforgettable evening of live music!
What
Six Bands. One Stage. Three Winners.
Get ready for an electrifying night of live rock and roll as Utah Live Concerts Foundation presents its first-ever Battle of the Bands!
Six of Utah's most promising emerging bands will take the stage, bringing fresh sounds, original music, and high-energy performances as they compete for cash prizes and the title of Battle of the Bands Champion!
We're putting the spotlight on Utah's next generation of rock musicians, showcasing exciting new talent from our local music scene, including bands connected to the UTA Battle of the High School Bands, Soundhouse, and Velour music communities.
Six bands. Real stakes.
Our celebrity judging panel will include Markku Lappalainen, founding bassist of Hoobastank, the internationally successful rock band known for hits including "Crawling in the Dark," "Running Away," and "The Reason." Markku brings major-label recording and touring experience, along with a professional musician's ear, to the competition. Additional celebrity judges will be announced soon!
CASH PRIZES:
🥇 1st Place — $1,000
🥈 2nd Place — $600
🥉 3rd Place — $300
And there's more! Competing bands will also have an opportunity to be considered for an opening performance with a national touring act at a future Dark Desert Production county-fair concert!
While the judges' scores are being tabulated, a special guest musician will take the stage to keep the music going before the evening's winners are announced.

Battle of the Bands is all about giving Utah's next generation of musicians a stage of their own. We're creating an opportunity for emerging bands to perform in a professional concert environment, gain valuable exposure, compete for meaningful prizes, and share their music with an enthusiastic audience.
And for our audiences, it's a chance to discover exciting new music, support local talent, and experience the energy and creativity of the next generation of rock and roll!
This special event is made possible through the support of the Orem CARE (Cultural Arts & Recreation Enrichment) grant program, helping us continue our mission of bringing quality live music experiences to the community.
