This was our 5th year hosting Here Comes the Sun Rock Festival and we enjoyed a no-rain, 2-days of great music and a rocking party for attendees on June 27-28, 2025.
Several new bands joined the schedule (or returned after a hiatus) including The Daredevils, Tyler Gould sharing some crossover country hits and orginal tunes, The Gina Maria Osmond Band (great to have her back in the show), and local favorite BandAged joined us onstage this year after not being with us since 2022!
Oldd Main Sudios introduced us to three bands with amazing talent coming down the line for the next generation and generations beyond. Thank you Rory Child and the program at Olde Main.
We enjoyed working with a new sound and stage design vendor (Mammoth Sound). They did a great job dialing in just the right mix and transitioning between 18 bands with minimal down time.
Our dynamic MC (David Smith) provided some great, interactive audience games between bands including an air guitar competition, soda chugging, water balloon toss, a creative name-that-guitar riff (where Ed McGarr played riffs from famous songs with prizes given out to the first to answer correctly). Dave served admirably as the MC for both days of the show!
Another fun event was a mid-concert "beach party" by the Cover Girls with several beach balls being knocked about by the audiene and thousands of bubbles provided by the kids attending the festival. Super fun!
We're sad to see Richard Bonaduce (Fox 13 field reporter and drummer for The Gina Marie Osmond Band) moving out of the area. He has played for our festivals many times over the last 5 years. He will be missed, but we wish him well on his new adventure.
Thank you Payson City for making this year's festival such a great success. We enjoy working with you.
